Our East London team were out again on Thursday night although in a very different format. The team had prepared pre-packed bags with Home made vegetable biryani made by the Riat Family.

Safety of our volunteers and service users is of utmost importance so all hygiene precautions were taken (masks, gloves, social distancing). We also ensured the local police were aware that some of our team would be out and specific locations we would be travelling to.

Overall it was a lot more quieter due to the lockdown but we were surprised to see that some of our regular service users were at our usual spot (outside Wilko) hoping we would be there with a hot meal. We also did food drops to rough sleepers around ilford.

There was welcoming news today that councils have been asked to house all rough sleepers by the weekend.

Please reach out if there is anything our team in East London can support with. πŸ™πŸ½
